CEL collects around 1.5 – 20 million casings pa of used car tyres from its own customers, either via an in-house fleet or via an outsourced contractor. CEL currently processes around 40KTpa of waste tyres (around 5 million casings) on 2 operational sites – a fully licensed 10-acre site at Breighton, near Selby, in Yorkshire and a fully licensed 4-acre site at Wednesbury in the West Midlands. Tyres are reprocessed, mainly for use in a shredded form as a replacement fuel for cement kilns or in a shredded or baled form in civil engineering applications.
Our vehicles are licensed to carry waste tyres and our fleet is tracked from your tyre collection to our disposal sites.
Your tyres will be collected by our waste management trained drivers who will load our vehicles and provide you with a copy of the waste transfer note meeting your duty of care requirements.
Our state of the art IT system tracks and monitors all customer transactions, enabling a full -service history and management audit trail at the touch of a button.
